- THE WILD OATS

The Wild Oats were formed in the early 60’s in Leiston, Suffolk and they played many gigs locally and in London and its surroundings.
They became favourites on the debutante circuit before disbanding in 1967, having passed through the R’n’B and soul music phases.
The band members all thought that this was the end of things: however, many Wild Oats reunions have taken place since, with three and sometimes five of the original members, Willy, Trev, Carl and Stykx performing.
Since the 60’s band members have been active in a variety of genres including world music, country, soul and jazz. In 1964 they recorded their highly collectable OAK label EP at the studio of RG Jones of Morden.
Recently, ACE Records have re-released the EP tracks together
some extra songs not released at the time. (www.acerecords.com )
