  15. Hi, The Wild Oats have now completed the recording for their CD with very pleasing results.
I was very exited about doing this with the boys and had a great day in the studio.
We are aiming to have these ready for purchase at our next show.
Eight tracks have been recorded but the final choice has not been decided yet.
Looking forward to the next gig.
    Bye for now

  18. Hi Guys
I see you are still making great music together. Been following you in the background for some time. Thought it was time to thank you all for getting me started in the music industry. Little did I know that purchasing your old Vox AC30 bass amp and those 2 x 18" speaker cabinets back in 1967 would lead to me playing for 45 years plus. Yes I'm still going strong in a band here in Brisbane Australia. Oh and Styx you still owe me the petrol money for that gig at the Clacton Holiday camp? Best of luck to the 'Wild Oats' hope you have many more great bookings together. Might even get over there one day for a listen and a hand shake.

WELL, what can I say that we haven't all said before? Thanks for The Cut on 4/11 - you were all brilliant, as always, but I expect you know that already! You look as though you enjoy the evenings as much as we do . . .great atmosphere all around. Loved the 'synchronised singing' (HA HA) I'll never be able to listen to 'Three Steps To Heaven' again without a chuckle!! Looking forward to seeing you again in 2012.
Take care and love to all.

  29. last watched you at a club near Ipswich(?) in the mid 60's, it all goes to show that success was just a lottery in those great days and I seem to remember you were better than some of the big names I saw at Tiles and the likes. Good to hear you after all these years (online) again were a great example of many of those local/regional groups that had something in a special time....a big thumbs up from an old mod that loved Walking The Dog.;-)

  35. Hi Robin

Guess I'll answer you as nobody else has or you'll think people don't care ...although it does make me look like the resident groupie !!!!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is disappointed that you won't be able to join us for the Leiston Cinema gig this Wednesday. It's bound to be another great night loaded with atmosphere ( just like the old days) when we all pretend we are back in the 60's. ...

    Take care

  36. Hi all Oats fans !

Hello from sunny France. Sorry I can't make it to Leiston Cinema this year. It was great to be back with the gang last time and see so many old friends (some older than others!). I think this website is a great idea and thanks to all who submit stuff to it. Some of those old photographs are a hoot.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone - email me at the above. I hope to meet up with you all again soon and best wishes from me.
    Remember our absent friends
    love and kisses
    Rob (Bo, Horace...etc;...)
PS: Chaz - get well soon

Congratulations to you all on a brilliant performance at The Leiston Film Theatre on 15.09.10, it was good to see you again.
